Ultra nationalist!! They are not only looking for/ slaying mujahids on screen. Be high on nationalism as bullets might catch you off guard.
Movie was certainly high on jingoism but was a 101 class on How to not make war movies? It glorifies war/ revenge but in reality nobody wants a war. War is grotesque and nowhere was it evident in the movie. Battle of Normandy scene in Saving Private Ryan reminds you of horrors of war. You don’t see it from British/ American/ German perspective but from the perspective of human and the sheer carnage tells you that war is bad. Secondly, Where is the Anti Hero- Walter Kurtz of your movie? Whole movie was about brat packing Indian Intelligence agencies espionage activities and their covert operation whereas those who have been constantly planning those attacks on Indian soil (ISI) should have been given more screen time. Their strategy/ planning/ execution and networking should have been covered in depth. Thirdly, you must credit your opponents or create equal turf. 4 terrorist attacked in Uri during day time and inflicted huge casualties and created furore in media whereas Indian soldiers attacked during night when terrorist where sleeping and even then they created a tense situation, it looked like botched up operation. Ridley Scotts’s Black Hawk Down reconstructs chain of events in great details and gives actual experience of combat troops instead of making it entertaining. Fourthly, Aditya Dhar certainly needs to brush up his directing skills and focus more on minute details. There were many bloopers and it would take another blog to write about it but how does Vihaan (Vicky Kaushal) gets to know about covert operation. Fifthly, Pls pls pls purchase a world map as India and Pakistan do not live in an isolated world. Geopolitical situation and International Pressure should have been given some coverage. It could also bring one more aspect- importance of timing.
At Last, फर्ज़ और फर्ज़ी में एक मात्रा का फर्क होता है and I think you crossed that line.
